Aritium is a company that was founded in September 2021 with the determination to transform the way hospitals and healthcare organisations around the world operate by developing the Smart Hospital concept. To this end, based on its platform (Aritium Platform), it develops and deploys innovative solutions based on the IoT (Internet of Things) and AI (Artificial Intelligence), with the aim of optimising and automating various processes in the healthcare sector.
To achieve its goal of optimising and automating different processes in the healthcare environment, Aritium provides the market with global solutions based on a combination of hardware and software elements, thus offering what has been called “Global AIoT Solutions”.
Aritium is working on multiple use cases in the world of health, oriented especially around the idea of the Smart Hospital or Intelligent Hospital and currently has a large catalogue of solutions.
These solutions are materialised in applications through which the users of hospitals or healthcare organisations can access information, as well as receive alerts or notifications according to the business rules that have been defined.
Within this approach, from a differentiation point of view, the following should be highlighted:
1. Low cost: the use of the LoRaWAN standard makes it possible to rely on a large ecosystem of partners that develop hardware compatible with the standard, which means that the costs of the devices are significantly reduced.
2. Deployment of private IoT networks: Aritium’s approach is based on the deployment of private IoT networks managed specifically for the hospital or healthcare organisation in question.
3. Transparent integration with operational systems: based on the LoRaWAN open standard, Aritium has developed a proprietary software component, the Aritium Hospital Hub, capable of managing all IoT messaging generated within the hospital’s private network and integrating it transparently with operational systems (e.g. with the Electronic Health Record).
4. Mitigation of vendor lock-in risk: Aritium’s approach, based on leveraging the LoRaWAN open standard, allows it to capitalise on a huge ecosystem of partners at both the hardware and software levels, allowing customers the freedom to evolve their solutions without being tied to a specific vendor.
Thanks to this approach, Aritium has achieved great traction in the market and has more than 45 deployments in 4 different countries, more than 2,600 connected devices and processes around 250,000 messages per day.
